I've had problems with previous lights coming on when you approached the motion sensor straight on so I thought this would be the perfect solution. The first light I received was damaged upon receiving it. The motion sensor arm was cracked (cheap plastic). I returned it and waited a month to receive a new one from Amazon.
Upon receiving the new light it sorta worked. At dusk the light gets confused and doesn't know whether or not to stay on. When it detects motion the light will flicker at dusk. Once the sun fully sets it will then work as described. Unfortunately the light just stopped working properly. It remains on regardless of motion or sunlight. Even taking a flashlight and shining it directly into the photovoltaic cell doesn't shut it off.
I'm returning it back to Amazon one more time. Maybe the third time will be a charm. If it doesn't work after this last attempt it will just be sent back and I will find another manufacturer. The one good aspect of the light it that it appears to pick up motion regardless of how the object is moving which is great. It also has a wide field of detection.
